How to handle future commitments when accepting a new job

I may, and I emphasize MAY, have a new job opportunity coming up within the next month. I have a bachelor party planned in Vegas in mid-April. If I had to estimate, the job offer would come in sometime in mid to late March and then I'd submit a two-weeks notice with my current employer.
I should note that this is an operator position at a desirable plant. I would not do anything to jeopardize it, but I'm thinking the start of the new job will be very close to my trip.
Would it be wise to just say nothing about my future commitments and cancel or should I just delay my start date until after the trip?

I always go over my scheduled vacation days for the next 12 months before accepting a position

when they offer you the job tell them about the trip, wouldn't say it's for a bachelor party, and ask them if they would like you to take the time off for it or start when you get back

This or just tell them upfront that you are planning on leaving town on this certain date. If youre up front with them it wont be a big deal.

Yes you should let them know up front. If they really want you they will be ok with pre-planned vacations.

Give new company a start date after trip.

Whenever I have accepted a job, I have always told them in writing that I had a prior engagement, and would be out for x amount of time. Was almost always unpaid, but they never had a problem with it.
I have never worked as an operator though, so it may be different.

Yep, never had an issue "I have a vacation already scheduled for XXXXX, will that be a problem?" Never has been and I have always gotten paid for the time too.

Awesome, I'll go that route then. I don't mind if its unpaid, I'd actually expect it to be since I wouldn't have worked for x amount of time to accrue vacation. Thanks guys

Why do some of these posts read as people have accepted many jobs in their life?
Why do many jobs if an OTer?

Tell them you have a family vacation planned to PCB or Myrtle Beach

I've had 3 jobs since 1/1/14. I go to the highest bidder

We aren't all fresh out of college.

If you have upward mobility and are staying at a jog longer than two years without looking for better options, you're selling yourself short.

Let them know in advance. I did this and it was fine. I needed 3 days off the first month.... Just say expensive plane tickets, hotel, blah blah.

That's a pretty normal occurrence. As long as the people I hire inform me at hiring, and they understand it's unpaid, I generally don't have a problem with it.

What about a pregnancy?

Hang in there, man.
In a few years all those priors fall off your record.

Well I'm in healthcare, so 90% of the people I hire are female.
If they are the right age, I just assume they will end up pregnant at some point And that goes for MA's, nurses, docs, all of them...
If the question is would I hire them with the understanding that they have maternity leave coming soon, then that would depend on the job I'm hiring for. I would do that with a physician that makes me $300K-$400K a year in revenue, but I couldn't for a normal (i.e non-revenue generating) employee.

YELLOWFIN, I WAS REFERRED TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT SUPPLYING CRAWFISH. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A CATERING TRAILER TO SELL CRAWFISH IN SHREVEPORT. I WAS CURIOUS IF YOU COULD BE OF ANY HELP.
