How strong do you hold on to things from your childhood?

What I mean by this are things/people that a grown person wouldn't normally be into but you're invested in them and it has a special meaning to you. Maybe a celebrity that was cool and you idolized that you're kind of embarrassed of today. Or something like the ninja turtles. The new movie made me think of this. Saw a bunch of grown folk all pumped about it at the movies last week. Thought it was kinda weird but they are pretty popular when we were growing up.
My example of this would be Jose canseco. I still to this day can't bring myself to admit how gigantic of a douchebag he is because it would invalidate my whole childhood from the age of 9 til about 15.

I have a Curious George that I got when I was 4. It has passed from me through my two oldest now is owned by my youngest kid and still in good shape. I love that chimp

I have my 60 year old stuffed tiger, Tiger Jones. It is sewed together but has one eye, has half a nose, has a halfway stuffed belly where the family dog chewed it, a solid black tummy patch, and a flat tail with no stuffing. I still look at it now and then. I may try to post a pic....

I had a lil stuffed monkey that I let my son play with. I got pissed and took it from him when he was "mistreating" him, lol. Felt like a 3 year old. But nobody fricks with Zoomer

I have a Pooh Bear that I got when I was younger. My niece can only play with it in my presence and if she puts in her mouth I take it back.

I have to take a huge glass of ice water to sleep. It all melts by the morning. There's always a puddle on the night stand.

I swear my lips start burning the second I realize I'm without a tube of lip balm. I get anxious and must find some ASAP. I have at least 6 tubes in my purse. And 3 next to the bed. And in the bathroom. And my golf bag. And the car. Suitcase. Everywhere.
