How scary would it be if you were to lose your vision & hearing at the same time

Let's say you were involved in a freak accident (car crash, bomb, etc) and you lost your eyes and ears at the same damn time.
How would you communicate with anyone in your dark, quiet new world?
How long before you would keep going like that or go crazy and end it?
