I was told by a physical trainer that you're supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day. Do you do that?

So I am 200 lbs, I need to drink 100 ounces of water a day. That is a lot more than I normally do. Going to attempt to do this for the next month.

I do about that.

I hope you enjoy going pee with the frequency of a pregnant diabetic.

Not enough. Just the occasional splash here and there.

Beer is mostly water, so I assure you, I get a ton of water in on a daily basis.

I drink 12 oz with breakfast, 12 with lunch, and 12 with dinner probably (maybe 24ish at dinner).

At most I'm getting 48 oz. So that is half what I should be drinking.

Half a gallon is incorrect, not enough and is not difficilt to drink.

I have a 48 oz water bottle at my desk. I drink about 2 of these a day. So I guess about 96 oz at the minimum a day. Sometimes, I do 3 bottles.

I'm in the bathroom about 5-6 times a day.

Some days under 20oz. I just tend to forget until it is real bad. Was just talking with an employee who was so dehydrated he had a seizure the other day and telling him the things I have to do.

There's such a thing as drinking too much water. It leads to a sodium imbalance in your body, which if bad enough can cause seizures and in some cases can be fatal. Older people are more susceptible to it, but it can happen to anyone. If you drink a lot of water, be sure you're taking in enough electrolytes, too.

No it isn't. Depends on your metabolism and how much you sweat.

One rule of thumb is the color of your urine. If it's dark you are dehydrated. If it's clear, your hydrated.

Lack of sodium intake is not a problem with me
