How much to tip for a haircut?

What percent tip is appropriate for just a hair cut for guys?
I go to bocage barber and a haircut(no wash)/beard trim is $22, and I never know the right amount to tip.

ETA A hair cut at black barber shop is now between $25-$30 for 15 minutes of work. No tip needed.

Most of the OT will say they tip 20 bucks. I have never seen such a concentration of generous tippers.

Mine is usually $17 and I just make it an even $20. Not sure if that's appropriate or not, but I haven't gotten any ugly looks.

Wow, that's not really cheap.
I now go to a place that costs $40. I tried the cheaper route, but no one did as good of a job. I'll typically tip around $10.

Haircut at Family Cuts is around $14.75, and I always give her a $20. Had one of those $75 haircuts once, and it was no better than a $15 haircut. And I don't need my scalp massaged while you wash my hair and I don't need a warm towel wrapped around my face.
