I'd move there now with the same pay. I wouldn't complain with a 10-20% raise though.

Hell, I would probably take a bit of a pay cut if I could easily find work. Love that area.

Today, it would take me a 50 to 75% pay raise and the same for my wife only because we are deeply rooted with her family here with our two small kids.

Some times I wish I never left there in 2006 after working there for 16 months, then I look at my family I have now and am thankful.

Hill Country is badass.

A lot. I prefer to live in a city. But I can understand why a place like that would appeal to someone.
