How much does a "Branch Manager/Assistant VP" for a bank make?

Like someone who does this for, say, a small Chase or Capital One bank branch?

Sounds like a glorified title IMO. I can't imagine these people pulling in more than $70K

i would guess starting around 40, but there are incentives for production numbers, new accounts, etc.

Am I the only one who feels like no job making less than $50K/year justifies the title "Branch Manager" or "Assistant Vice President"??

I mean really...WTF are you "Vice President" of? The fricking branch????

So there are like 1,000 "Vice Presidents" of Chase bank in Houston??

C'mon, man!!

maybe it's a way of compensating for the low pay ....why are you offended by it ?

I'm not "offended" by it.

Just seems a bit overglorified, IMO.

So some dude pulling in $40K/year walks into a swanky bar and answers the question "So what do you do?" from some broad that he's hitting on with "Well, I'm the Vice President of a bank."

Just seems someone...eh...lame, I guess would be the word to describe it.

how much do the girls at the window make. there are always 1-2 hot ones there at the chase i go to.

actually, i really dont care what they make.

i can see the branch manager hauling in about 60K+.

40K is $19/hr. i would think a branch manager makes way more than that.

Bank Manager - 45-65K
VP 65-90K
Prez 100K

Salary is one thing but the quarterly in yearly bonuses are staggering and put it over the top. Sometimes we are talking like 25K for a quarterly bonus at the big banks (chase, wells fargo, etc...) not to mention the end of the year bonuses. Thats just for a bank manager and VP.

Prez bonuses we are talking sometimes more than the salary.

Everyone is a VP of something at the bank. It's just to make you feel important for having a real live "Vice-President" handling your account. I do business banking with Chase, and I think anyone who has any kind of legitimate cash flow get's a personal banker and VP assigned.
