How much do you guys tip the pilot when flying?

The last time I flew I thanked the pilot and handed him a 20 dollar bill on my way out. He looked at me like I'm an idiot. It was a pretty smooth flight so I tipped him 10 percent of my round trip ticket price. (I might not get the same pilot on my return flight so he gets the other 10% for a smooth flight)
Did I tip too little? How much do you guys normally tip?

I give both of my pilots a $10,000 bonus every Christmas.
They are great pilots, and they make sure my Gulfstream V is kept clean and well maintained.

I guess his "tip" is his Christmas Bonus. I don't know the exact amount. My financial guy handles the minor budget stuff like that.

I usually just let him keep the plane and buy a new one for the next leg of the trip. Gulfstreams are too cheap to worry about reusing.
