Gotta support all of the new administration somehow.

IIRC, mine was like $1200 in 02 at LSU. This semester at UNO is about $3600

Dorm, meal ticket, tuition, book rental was a cool $947.00 for fist semester.

2000 - U of Houston

IIRC first semester was about $1700. I was a dumbass newbie and bought every book for every class brand new and ended up dropping like $1100 on books. Never did that ever again

I think around $500 for Michigan. I took either 12 or 15 hours (I believe 15).

I didn't pay over a $1000 in tuition at LSU until the spring of 1992. I'm sure that the increases since then are needed to pay for the high-dollar administrators. It'd be interesting to compare Chancellor Wharton's salary in 1988 to what Chancellor O'Keefe was later paid.

So LSU is 7k a year? I started in1992. I have a 9 yr old and I hope to be able to pay for his schooling like my folks did me. I've got a good start, but damn it sounds like 40-45k will be minimum for a state school if everything stops increasing. Good luck with that though.

My boy will likely go MS State or Ole Miss, I don't want to pay out of state tuition.

I also was a freshman at LSU in 1984. It was a great deal. My dorm and meal plan cost a lot more than tuition.

Times certainly have changed.
