I only raise tiger fans. They wouldn't commit such sacrilege.

Or a son who marries a girl who doesn't give a shite about LSU or football.

Just imagine how much it would suck if you were getting married this Saturday at one of the churches on campus, or having a reception at the Faculty Club.

That marriage will work out real well. Won't even use logic when thinking about the wedding.

Even for a family member or close friend?

I've missed a few for family friends in the Midwest, skipped the reception of a good friend to make it back for a game, and flew in the morning of the Auburn game this year to go to a wedding in Denver the Friday night before.

Not much chance of having a 230 game on at the reception, so you're being a dick needlessly.

Considering my wife and I worked around our respective families' commitments (work, travel, grandchild being born) I'm confident I'll raise children that will want to do the same. Especially if I'm paying for it...

Or maybe college football doesn't rule their lives and they wanted a wedding in the fall cause fall is one of their favorite times of the year

(and they already knew their close friends and family...the people they really wanted at the wedding...aren't super big into college football as well)

Travelling is different and they are family friends, not family or your friends.

That is pretty lame. Every game is watchable these days.

True dedication. Admirable. A little nuts, but aren't we all..

Would you prefer your son marry:

1. A black woman

2. A white man

3. A white girl who doesn't care about LSU football

LSU is almost a 20 pt favorite. It's not like it's the Alabama game.

I've been to 134 straight LSU games...most everyone that's inviting me to a wedding knows this already.

Yeah but those are quite different and more important than a football game. I really hope you are not trying to compare the birth of a child with a football game

No, but I won't put a dime towards the wedding.

I don't know anyone who fits that description. Maybe they have people like that in Arizona. IDK>

My family and friends know I love them dearly and care about them. They also know that I met my wife at an LSU game and that we spend the majority of our social and travel time/budget on LSU events.
