2300-2500. Put the extra sq footage to a bigger kitchen, washroom, and living room.

I think 1500 tops. I would not purchase anything larger than 2000 for my family but I like smaller homes.

The inlaws 3BR is about 6500 sq ft, but it is just the two of them. Seems about right for a small house.
