I was having some problems within my marriage about 10 years ago. Asked an older fella that I worked with for advice and this is what he told me.

"Don't do anything you wouldn't want your wife doing" made a ton of since to me and I've lived by that since he told me, my marriage has been great.

Darth that is exactly why I said millinials. Didn't expect that to be the focal point of the thread, but you win some and lose some.

Link? I don't see any of that in the OP. Especially when divorce rates are down among the generation he speaks of.

except I would say Gen X is at the prime "divorce" age right now, much more than millennials

That's like saying the murder rate is down now. It's great that less I'd happening, but we should always strive to have none. I said millinials because that is what I have seen and the people I grew up with are going through. Didn't expect it to be a debate over generations as that wasn't my intent, just what I am seeing. I'm glad the divorce rate is dowm, but honestly that means shite when I see two beautiful families being broken over a simple issue.

Btw, my marriage is hitting 5 years and I could not be more in love with my wife and the feeling is the same. She showed me this last night and this morning. Yes, that was a not so subtle brag I had sex

Five whole years, eh? Come back and talk to me when you've hit 20 years. I might be impressed then.

Don't blame yourself. Around here as soon as you try to give Millineals any advice, you will have some of them get all triggered and offended. I think they believe advice and constructive criticism is something they call "micro-aggression".

Darth, you represent the very worst of Boomers. Obese, ignorant, and not wanting to take any blame.

1. I'm not a boomer. I was born in 1970
2. I'm not obese. I only weigh 191 lbs.
3. I've forgotten more than you'll ever know.
5. There's plenty on my life I'm to blame for.
