Were you the driver or a passenger? Were you cited? How much damage? Any injuries?

Eleventy hundred. Walked away injury free in all of them.

1 as a 17 year old driver. Came around corner and an old woman was stopped in the road and went to go around her and she turned into the side of me. Officially my fault since it was a no passing zone.

Actually totaled my car 2 Saturday's ago. Blacked out and woke up to cop knocking on my door after hitting a tree at 30 mph. Diagnosed with pneumonia and dehydration at hospital. Obviously didn't know I had pneumonia and have no recollection of the accident. I was the only one in the car and lucky I didn't hit anyone else

Been in 5 I think.
1 with my dad in the church parking lot. No one hurt.
1 with my mom at the beach. No one hurt, other dude left the scene.
2 I was driving and weren't my fault. One ran out in front of me other slammed into the back of me.
1 I barely tapped the person in front of me. Got a damn ticket for it.

6. No real injuries, thank God.

3 as a passenger.
2 as a driver though one was being run into by a drunk at a red light. The other, I had just aced my first exam in college and was in a hurry to get to my flag football game. Pulled out in front of a speeding car and totaled my vehicle.
No injuries to claim thankfully.

3 as a driver - goodyear tire blew out on my parents crown victoria in 1999, hydroplaned and crashed in 2003 on I-10, hit a bitch in 2008 that didn't have her lights on and stopped in the middle of Thomas St. in Hammond.

Driver
T-boned 4 days before my wedding
Needed a whole new passenger side
Other driver's insurance took care of everything
No major injury just sore for a few days

No car accidents but I did hit a deer going about 50mph on my motorcycle. Only broke my clavicle and got some road rash on my knees. 3/10 would not do it again.

2 as a passenger. 7 as a driver, 3 of those my fault. Crazy thing is I'm a much better driver than most people I ride with. Or maybe not.

Rear ended by Toyota Tacoma at 70mph while waiting to turn off Snow Rd in West Mobile..total loss on that one.. insurance gave me 4 times the car's value and walked away uninjured (God Bless GM for building a tank of a Buick Century)

When I was in high school in the mid '80s, the school bus I was on was struck from the rear by a late '60s Chevy C10 while the bus was stopped to drop off two students on Hwy 190, approximately 60 miles west of Baton Rouge.
Bus was fully loaded, I was sitting in the 2nd-to-last seat and I had seen the truck (elderly couple driving) when we crossed the median. When we stopped a little boy was on the steps at the door and his sister was walking down the aisle. I looked back for some reason and saw the truck heading toward us, I faced forward and placed my hands on the back of the seat in front of me and braced for the hit.
When the truck hit us, it rocked the bus forward about 10-15 feet. My head jerked back and my arms kinda felt numb. I checked my arms and hands to see if I had any cuts and any injuries (none). The girl in the aisle was thrown over a seat and her little brother was knocked out of the bus. This happened right front of their grandfather's welding shop.
Some kids flew off their seats and landed on the floor. Two students right behind me had their heads rested on the rear window when the truck hit. I think the boy had to get stitches and the girl had a huge knot. I got up and looked back and the bottom window of the door was pushed in from the weatherstripping and looked at the truck. The hood was pushed back, the old man was slumped over onto the steering column (the steering wheel broke apart). He was all bloody but I couldn't make out what injuries the old lady had. The windshield was smashed on her side.
I saw some clear liquid running onto the hwy and thought it was fuel but it turned out to be from the radiator of the truck. I was telling students to get off the bus. Two of my young cousins were on the bus also. I asked the shop owner if I could call my cousin's mother and tell her Acadian Ambulance was taking us to the hospital. Pretty much all students were alright.
After the incident, the girl in the aisle wore a neck brace and our bus driver too. Other than the window of the door pushed in, the bumper was crimped inward at the center of it.
About a week after this incident, we were at a stop again on 190 but a little further ahead. A trooper was on the bus with us up front while a trooper was in his car well ahead of us. When we were coming to the stop, I turned around to see what was happening. A driver in his little Datsun truck in the left lane slammed his brakes and skidded into the median and an 18 wheeler fuel tanker was barreling down the left lane.
Trucker was blowing that air horn and passed us by. The bus rocked and the little kids were screaming. The trooper radioed the trooper ahead of us. That was a wild week.

Why was there a Trooper on your bus? Didn't think there were enough of those guys to just stick them on school buses.
