I wear boots with jeans, nothing else if I'm wearing jeans. I say a good pair of dress boots should be worn at least 5-10 years with some resoles done in between. Now if you're wearing work boots that are higher price they should last at least 10 years. What says the O-T?

I expect my Tony Llama ostrich boots to last 30 years. But I probably only wear them twice a month or so.

I know a guy that wears a pair of elephant skin boots to work, he's been wearing them for over 25 years(don't know why you'd want to,) says he just keeps resoling them

I wore a pair of steel toed Justin boots every day for 6 years before I retired them...

I've been wearing a pair of Ariat's everyday for the past 2 years and they are falling apart

That's impressive. I did not know that elephant skin was so durable.

Who does shoe/boot repair anymore? Shoe repair shops are a dying breed.

Depends on what you're doing and how well you take care of them. I've seen boots gone in 90 days and a pair last my grandpa his life time.

A good pair of dress boots should last you 20 plus years if you take care of them. I have several pair that are over 20 years old and have been resoled a couple of times.

This. I don't know if Militello's is even still around but I got tired of having to go back to them every fall for new half soles and heels. Someone smartened me up to Edgewood and they do it right and their work will last more than a winter.

I've got a pair of Tony Lama's that I've had for about 15 years. I wear them about once a week. They still have the original soul and heel.

My uncle has some ostrich skins that he's had almost 30 years, been souled and heeled twice but still look damn good.

Yeah that's what I was thinking initially but idk that many people that actually take the time to take care of their boots.
