Out of your system? I'm looking at purchasing some term life insurance but I occasionally partake in smokeless tobacco or a good cigar. Anyone know?

I've heard three days, but I have nothing to point to on that, and I'm too lazy to look it up.

3-5 days max. Depending on how often you is that is. If you are an every day user, it may linger for over a week.

It only takes a few days for nicotine, but a couple weeks for cotinine, which is what they test for. Nicotine is broken down in to cotinine and then that stays in your body for a little while.

Unless the testing has changed recently, they don't test for nicotine. They test for a metabolite called cotinine. 5-6 days is usually long enough to pass.

up to two weeks, usually around 7-10 days. Like with all these questions, it depends on you.

eta: The cotinine is what they test for.

Lying on the application is against the law and can get the policy cancelled within the contestability period, why not just be honest?

This. Lie, die of a tobacco related disease, and watch you wife lose everything from wherever your lying arse ends up.
