How long is too long to wait at the doctors office for an appointment?

Appointment was at 3:30. Just got called into the exam room an hour later. How long would you wait before leaving?

Wait, you don't have a physician personally come to the mansion?

No one is tying you down to stay and wait.

I'm at the doctor too. Got here at 315. Called back at 345, and still waiting in the room for him.

Depends on the kind of doctor, but I would probably start to become upset at the 90 minute mark.

None. If I need something I call my dad and he'll call some prescription in. Other than that, I'd be waiting in an ER with something broken, or at the pediatrician with my kids, and then it can be a while.

Surprised the Doc didn't go home. I waited about 2 hours for them to tell me that he hadn't come in yet that day.

I don't wait. I have made it clear to my doctor and his staff that I will happily reschedule if they are overbooked, but I do not like to be made to wait. I quit my last doctor because of this. I'm very polite but insistent on this point. 10 to 15 minutes is the absolute max.

About 5 minutes before being shown to an exam room.

Another 10 before the doc comes in.

That's nothing. The Ocshner clinic waits in Baton Rouge used to be fricking epic.

Doctors make folks wait because they can. It's all about the money for those kind of physicians. Herd you into the waiting room and run you through the system as fast as possible.

I don't trust doctors.
