How late is too late for my neighbors to be loudly partying on a Monday night?

It's midnight and my neighbor is having a huge graduation party with loud music and shouting and cheering. The party has about 50 attendees and they are all packed into the backyard. I'm not going to call the cops, but would I be a stick in the mud if I went over there and told them to turn the music down a bit? I have work tomorrow and I honestly can't believe no one else has complained. The neighbors are cool and told me the party would be a bit loud, I just didn't imagine it still going strong at midnight.

WWTOTD? Should I just suck it up and deal with it?

Sounds like a one time deal. If you've never had problems with them just stick it out and drink an extra cup of coffee in the morning.

I'd politely ask to turn the music off. My tolerance for inconsideration is almost down to nothing. Not contributing to or enabling the "me generation".

I'd go over there and tell them to turn shite down as people are trying to sleep.

If they still persist, go ahead and call the cops on their arse. People should know better than to have loud parties in the middle of the night in residential neighborhoods.

I don't care if its a graduation party. I had a high school graduation party and my family still forced me to be considerate of others trying to sleep and make sure its over by 11 PM.

It's thoughtless, but suck it up. Not worth a complaint.
