I'm thinking of taking a job there. I don't know much about Minneapolis or Minnesota for that matter. The furthest north I've lived is Oklahoma. The area I would be at is Brooklyn Park. Just wondering how it is up there.

Went through their airport once. Great looking pines from what I could tell.

Colder than you can imagine in the winter, but a pretty cool city in general. I've only worked up there so can't speak to how it is to live.

Minneapolis/St. Paul is a GREAT area…when its not winter.

Wonderful place to live and visit though if you can handle the winter. Solid economy, low crime rates, its clean, people are nice, lots of big companies are there, good schools, etc.

I have two customers there and unfortunately I have only been there during the winter - very cold. One of my employees went during the summer and he loved it.

All the people I met were very nice.

Great place, good people. Friendly, laid back. Nothing is overly done or pretentious aside from the new Vikings stadium. Cold as frick. Wind like knives. Good transportation, okay food. No catfish or shellfish, get used to walleye. Big on sandwiches and sausages. Summer is glorious. Government is efficient. Women are underrated.

Yeah, I have some relatives there and visited a few times last summer. Forgot how nice it was. I think it's like Chicago in the sense that you have hell on earth from Dec-Feb, but the payoff is worth it.

This

The downtown area is great as well. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could.

Been there a few times for business. I liked what I saw in the 3 days I was there! Good eats and drinks. Also, I don't mind the cold so that helped. They do have skywalks to get around most of the downtown in the winter.

How's the cost of living compared to BR? I'm a little over 2 years out of school so not making a ton of money.

Visited for a week or so a couple years ago. Loved it. It was during the Spring/Summer though so didn't have to deal with the cold.

Pros: Great City, good schools, extremely nice peopele (they call it "Minnesota Nice"), good food city and great breweries. Downtown is solid and major sports teams to go see. Incredible lakes and parks where people exercise/picnic etc.

Cons: Its in the north. It gets cold as ball. Accents are absolutely terrible. It gets cold as balls. Its in the north.
