Tax payer funded. $134 million to build opening in 1975, Been through hell and back, $193 mil reno 05-06. Currently sponsored well IMO.

Living out of state for the past few years (hoping to be back soon) I am proud of the venue.
Not to mention it seems like the sports media love it and Nola.

I haven't gotten a dime out of this investment. I'd say it's terrible.

The superbowls alone I'm sure make it a great ROI. Add in sugar bowls, major events and it's most definitely sound investment.

Tickets to this year's games say otherwise. I'd say I lost.

Whenever anything is going on in the Dome, the hotel prices at least double.

It's probably the most profitable venue out there

well think of how many people come into new Orleans to go to the games at the dome, pay for outrageous hotel rooms, drink eat, and frick hookers

pretty solid investment imo

When I was a kid they had a giant video board that hung from the ceiling. I'd like to see t brought back.

But yeah the dome has been a success for the state.

Well I pay taxes, don't work in tourism or even in New Orleans, but the superdome hasn't cut me a check yet so I'd say it hasn't been a good investment for me directly.

Also, you have to include the amount of money the state spends renting out Tom Benson's office space at a higher-than-market rate.

Quite possibly the ugliest stadium ever built, great investment for the corrupt politicians of New Orleans and the con man known as Tom Benson.
