How does one go about selling a car these days?

It's been over a decade since I've sold a car. I'm guessing people don't rely on running an add in the paper anymore. Is Craigslist still a thing? Where's the best place to list? In Houston btw.
Thanks in advance.

Apparently you have sex in it, then trade it in for a bigger model to handle the new family.

Park it in the lot of your local Kroger with a for sale sign on it and your phone number.
Profit.

Last car I sold was a Chrysler on its last leg. I brought it to a couple of dealers and sold it to the one that made the best offer.
It would have taken me weeks to sell it privately and I wasn't interested in having the piece of shite leaking oil in my driveway anymore. I hated the car and I wanted it gone.
If the car wasn't such an environmental or fire hazzard, I would have sold it privately by sticking a sign on it and parking it at a friend's business.

This...along with craigslist, there are local Facebook auto pages that you can list cars on. These are really increasing in activity lately.

Take it to CarMax. They will make an offer on it and buy it from you.

Set it on fire at an abandoned warehouse/construction site.

Cars.com is free to list
Craigslist will get a lot of weirdos
Facebook might get some better replies, just make sure you have a private profile

I had a car I sold on Craigslist a few months ago. It was a 2002 Chevy Venture with 220K miles and a blown radiator. But it was pretty clean for its age and mileage. I asked $500 for it. I posted it in a Sunday morning and got 18 calls on it that day. At 8 AM on Monday morning, the first guy to come look at it gave me the 500, went to title place, he put car on trailer, done deal.

You're asking $9000 for a car & you'll get stupid offers like, "Would you trade for a year's worth of pool cleaning?"
Sounds about right from my experience selling stuff on CL. Either dumb trade offers or have an item listed for $400 and they ask if I'd consider $100
