The rest of the civilized world agrees with you.
We think similarly of Mississippi State as it compares to Jackson State as you non-ambiguously clearly stated here.

Never came across one. I'll go ask around in the shop later today

I mostly look to them for guidance on grammar questions.

That's pretty ironic.

I graduated from Southern
Yes, we can see that.

Troll. He never Facebook messaged me to prove he didn't scheme this whole thing. With fake letter and final grades from Tech. I swore not to share his name here if he contacted me. I would have his back. He said he would but didn't. Ban this race baiting troll.

I'm an engineer, been working in the Oil and Gas industry for 6 years in New Orleans. I've met hundreds of engineers throughout the years and have never met one Southern grad.

You shouldn't be so insecure about this.

I needed parentheses or commas for "them". I would have thought context would have be enough.

I know 3 SU engineering grads. 2 are EE and 1 is a CE.
Both of the EE grads played their cards right and kept their grades up and did internships while in school. One now works for Exxon and the other is going for his phd.
The CE grad didn't do any internships while in school and worked 0 jobs in that field somewhat. She had to take a job way up north just to get started.

Young man, do your thing and don't worry about what others say. Asking LSU folks about any other institution in Louisiana is not a good idea. LSU is the big cat in Louisiana, and the arrogance of most is real.
Anyway, most engineering firms are run by the "good ole boy" system. Meaning they only hire those who graduated from the same school as them. "He graduated from LSU or a&m, so I know he's cut from the same cloth as me."
Look at it this way. There are several first round draft picks who flame out in the pros. However, that undrafted free agent goes on to have a long career. It doesn't matter which school you attend. Put in the hard work, create your opportunity, and never look back.

Unless an HBCU degree is from Howard, Morehouse or Spelman, I would view it like a degree from a low tier state school. For those three, I view it more like an average state U, like LSU.
Of course, plenty of people exceed those assumptions, but I imagine that is the starting point for most people.

I don't respect them. Generally because I've seen how the university is run and the clowns that come out of there with high-level degrees that couldn't pass a high school English class.

Tell me how many times that you've asked to look at someone's degree, the only time it may be relevant is on a job interview, otherwise no one cares and haters goin hate

Aside from Ivy Leagues, Stanford, service academies, and other big name schools, I don't find the universities to have a specific view point. It's more about the individual.

Just a step above Grambling grads (it's not much of a compliment).

I want to know how other Louisiana Universities view Southern University in Baton Rouge graduates in fields such as Nursing, Law, Engineering, and the Sciences and any other professions
I've never worked anywhere that considered Southern a decent school or focused any recruiting efforts there.
I hear Southern's law school has a better reputation than the rest of the university....but I'm not in that field so I can't speak to it.
