I noticed a bit of an uptick in attendance today. Doesn't bother me one bit. Hope they stick with it and better themselves. Doesn't affect my workout.

My yoga/barre studio was pretty normal - all 10 regulars and 2 newbies.

But I had pneumonia in December and couldn't workout - doc's orders - so today was my first day back in 3 1/2 weeks.

My arse, it is kicked.

I used to e skinny but now I'm fat. Put on a 100 lbs over the past couple of years because I was depressed.

24 hour by me was busy but I got in and hit what I needed to and out in an hour. 3 sets of back and abs, a little over a mile on the TM at 7 to warm up.

I am going early in the morning the rest of the week.

Be sure to take 5 minutes between sets at least and play on your phone as much as possible

Start going in the mornings and you don't have to fight off the n00bs. The people that go at 5:00am-6:00am are in there to get big or die trying. Change your routine to mornings and let the gainz begin baw.

What? You think this is my first time? Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter updates are necessary to keep everyone informed about my #gainz. Otherwise I might as well be on the couch eating ice cream.

I would love to. But unfortunately I can't. Kids bus runs at 7:20. Gotta be at work at 8. And even if I didnt have to get them on the bus, the snap fitness i work out in doesn't have a shower. No other gym in this small arse Mississippi town either.

If you're a chubby chaser there a ton of them at the gym right now. A couple with cute faces who'll stop working out next week.

My crossfit gym had a couple of new faces. Two cute girls that could stand to lose about 5lbs. I helped them work on some deep squats. One had yoga pants on and you could see through them at the bottom of the squat. I approved her form.

OP is a douche. At the Zoo out in Kenner where I lift, there were maybe six more people than usual doing cardio. The lifting area had the same group of guys who normally lift at that time. Not much of a big deal.

Reason why OP is a douche is that if your single New Years at the gym is typically is like being a kid in the candy store. When I lived out in the 602 and went to LA Fitness it would indeed be packed with new members working on their resolutions but 90% of new members were chicks and maybe only 50% were truly obese, the others like BigPerm says were hicks 5 - 10 lbs. overweight and chicks that just thought they looked fat.

2nd reason why OP is a douche is because people have to start sometime and New Years gives people a kick in the arse as does bikini season. Sure most stop going but it's nice having some chicks to look at between sets instead of meatheads recording their reps on their iPhones.

Sadly the Zoo in Kenner looks like just the meathead crowd. Wish I would've joined Curves.
