There are no 125 year old women in France. Ignore this pill pusher.

I noticed. You don't want the easy answer because it's hard. I've seen a lot of girls with multiple diagnoses go through recovery and not need meds on the other end.

But you are special. You get a birth-month. Not just a birthday. You are unique. The easy answer won't work for you.

You want me to approach you gently? Fine.

I would urge you to do everything you can to not hurt the people around you. There will probably be times when you don't care that you are hurting someone it wont be your fault, bUT you wont care nonetheless. In those times try to do the right thing and not manipulate. You WILL be able to get away with it, so it will take great integrity to do the right thing.

For the people around you have that integrity.

That may or may not be true.

What is true is that none of us should ever let ourselves get upset by anything somebody else writes about us on this message board. People will write shite just to get a rise out of a person. Somebody's snarky little post or comment doesn't mean a thing.

Sometimes it seems to me that everyone of us could benefit from talking to a therapist. We all have little quirks and problems. We try to work through them with varying degrees of success and failure, but, talking to a professional would probably help us all.

Getting professional advice, guidance and assistance when it comes to dealing with our personal problems is the smart move.

I used to think that people could figure out these things on their own, but, I was wrong about that.

Some pills are good for you. They are like vitamins. Weed is the great equalizer. You smoke dope regularly and you will live longer guaranteed.

If you really are a borderline, this statement is a lie. And it's a lie designed to rationalize. Which your entire life will be if you are actually a borderline. But, if you are actually birdeline you are sitting at your computer laughing at the attention you are getting, hoping one of the guys here who knows you comes to save you with money or drugs. If you are actually borderline you would protest and whine about this post, all the whIle coldly calculating exactly what emotions you need to play to "split" people.

Boom! From a counseling standpoint this is dead on. Now imagine trying to conduct a group counseling session made up of ten people like this. I have great admiration for those therapists that have the skills to keep sessions moving when the group demo is all BPD's.
And Paige, I don't know you, and don't seek to downplay your diagnosis, but I don't think you're on the extreme side of the spectrum that sealawyer has probably had experience with.

I won't trust you on such an outlandish claim. Sorry. I smoked grass dn near everyday for several years. I'm not against it. But don't tell me it's good for you with no data.

I lost my dental license due to many lapses in judgement on my part. I mistook a privilege for a right. That is all I am going to say, Lester.

Question, Sea.

Paige has a new relationship in her life whom appears to be a nice guy, and potentially important to her.

Should she hide or disclose this diagnosis, regardless of the fate?

Anyone?

He isn't important to her. She's a narcissist with substance abuse issues if not real addiction. Who cares what she tells him? She'll be on to the next within a month.

Disclose, if only so that he can help. She will need support and understanding. Because she will make his make his life harder, but if he is willing to support her he might be the differnce in keeping her off the streets or in a facility.
