Was wondering if anyone's ever been to the Houston Rodeo BBQ cook off? It is this coming weekend and a few of us are thinking about going Saturday for Turnpike Troubadours. Can anyone explain the difference between the general admission tickets and the tent tickets? I hear the tent tickets are all you can eat/drink but I'm not sure where to buy

TIA

Saturday is an absolute shitsow as far as crowds. You have to be in a tent. Tent= Better BBQ and free beer. GA= Aramark concession quality BBQ and near stadium priced beer.

It's cool if you're in high school and you can sneak free beers. Otherwise I'd rather just be at a bar. My senior year the rodeo cook off was one of the first places I got drunk. Ran into my baseball coach who was too drunk to tell I was drunk.
