Yeah didn't have much choice. Surprised by how many people were driving in the storm in non-SUVs/trucks.

This looks to be a historical bad storm for houston. Almost on par with Allison in terms of rainfall but far more widespread than allison.

Commute tmrw from the west or the south will be brutal

Westheimer parkway in George bush park is flooded so the west park tollway will be bumper to bumper in the morning

A lot of freeway frontage roads have standing water in them with no where to flow

Smart Crowd that listened to the severe weather "stay in your seats" warning near 10:45 are still there at Toyota Center chilling out as of 12:15am.

In the westchase area now, and westheimer is flooded to hell.

It's fricking horrible outside. Im bunking with a friend for the night, and I only live 10 mins away from here. Hope everyone else is staying safe here, have seen more than a few cars try to brave the waters unsuccessfully near here.

This is gonna look like a warzone in the morning.

Still a huge cell moving across the city and dumping rain for the next three hours

Downtown will be a mess as well

If you're familiar with the area, here's a pic of White Oak Bayou between Houston Ave and Sawyer/Taylor.

God the pics in this thread make me sad, the city is being gutted from the inside out.

Yeah I'm being dramatic.

I'm watching the news on channel 2 and the pics and reports of people stuck on interstates and under overpasses is incredible

Do they really need to secure the court still?

Just showed a video on KPRC a couple blocks away (Dunlavy/Richmond). Luckily my street is draining a little better but still a lot more to come.
