Any flooding in the tunnels? I have not heard anything about that. I was hoping to see more photos from downtown.
Weather days in 2015 are not like weather days from school days or early career days. Working from home is still working, if not harder with toddlers that can't play outside as normal today.

The freeways were wide open this morning - zero traffic.
My house was 1/2" away from the water gushing in last night and I live in one of the highest points of Houston.
You guys fared alright?

His golf game was washed away in the great flood and he was last seen wading out into the middle of the street with snorkel gear to try and recover it.

We had some perilous peril ove this way last night. Tree fell on the gate, destroyed it.
frickin trees.
Did y'all have much damage, or just a lot of rain? Power back in the #Burbs yet?
Haven't heard from him all day. I don't even know if he's had an IPA yet.

No damage as far as I've seen up here. Just a ton of rain and a pretty badass light show last night. Our power flickered once but never went out.

Frankly, I'm a little concerned.

Full disclosure, my burb and ryno's burb are so far apart, I think we have different climates completely. So my safety doesn't guarantee his.
I wish I had better news.

Meanwhile, in southwest Houston......
Casket with body inside found in southwest Houston, police say
LINK
HOUSTON -
A bicyclist made a bizarre discovery Tuesday morning when he found a casket on a sidewalk.
It happened near Keegan’s Bayou in southwest Houston. Police believe stormwaters lifted the casket out of the ground from nearby Riceville Cemetery, then carried it about 100 yards.
Yoel Rubio was riding his bicycle along a bayou path, when he saw the casket. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Rubio said. “It was crazy.”
After unsuccessfully trying to move the casket out of the middle of the path, Rubio called police. They say a woman’s body was found inside. The medical examiner is trying to confirm the identity.
Riceville Cemetery is owned by Riceville Mt. Olive Baptist Church on South Gessner Road. Deacon Reginald Fields says members have been buried there since 1989. He says the body belongs to a female church member who died seven or eight years ago. “It’s disheartening when you have a situation like this,” Fields said. “Nobody wants to come eight years later to relive someone’s death.”
Fields says he is waiting to hear back from the medical examiner to find out if the body will need to be placed in another casket. He says he has been in touch with the family of the deceased woman.
Oh, and I'm fine. Thanks for all of the texts and emails.
