Crazy. That picture is taken about 5 blocks from my house. How deep is the deck of 59 there? About 15 feet?

That was taken as they were adding the lanes to it. I believe back then they had slopping ground instead of the wall on the edges. I wasn't driving at that point so I cannot remember.

I slept and missed most of this, but woke up in the middle of the night to what sounded like Niagara Falls being dumped on the house. Never heard so much rain.

I didn't realize Ashton Kutcher lived in Houston.

Allen parkway @ Taft (block east of Montrose) here..

Just took my bike down there, it's completely turned in to a river. Crazy.

Alison was not about the intensity it was just it sat on Houston for what seemed to be a week.

It was a factor of both. But that Friday night when it sat there dumped water on Houston for about 5 hours, it was about the intensity with an oversaturated ground. The area I was in had almost 12 inches that period.

The craziest thing about Allison is that the Katy area only received about 1-2".

Yep.

How is I-10

Have family in Katy trying to get back to the motherland. Transtar is confusing, I see closures but also "no data" in places. They want to leave. But I cant tell if they can get through downtown. I assume that they cannot. Has to be blocked or a nightmare downtown.

The North Belt should be open.

No way they can take I-10 straight through but I would think they could take 610 or 8 around downtown and hook back up with 10

ETA on the north side only though

I didn't know we had so many Sugar Landians on time OT. I saw a Southwest Houston OTGT in the making.

Cousin called, he's in Rosenberg on 59 north and cars are turning and heading south on the north bound lane. I told him to get his arse back home.
I came in from Williams Way to Sugar Land and had zero issues at all at 7am. Was the best drive into work I think I've ever had.
