Another year of huge increasing which will hit your pocketbook come tax time. Glad I sold my old home and moved into a smaller place.

When I left Houston my tax burden was half of my mortgage payment. I don't miss that at all.

Wouldn't know...I rent a condo three blocks from the office.
Property taxes, home insurance, commuting is for people that like to throw money away and make bad investments...at least in Texas.

I called HCAD yesterday asking where the hell is my appraisal notice...seems like every year they send the letter out later than the last, but the deadline to protest stays the same.

I had a 38% market increase. Thank god for the homestead cap.
