Give me the best places to play and not break the bank. Currently booked to play AH and RTJ at Palmetto Dunes Resort. Thanks!

What time of year, what season, are you planning on visiting and playing here, and what days? Weekdays or weekends?

It's been several years since I played any golf there but I enjoyed Old South Golf Links and Hilton Head National.. Neither one of those are actually on the island.

Pinecrest and Rose Hill in Bluffton are nice courses that don't break the bank - I like Pinecrest better, though. However, if you can, go to Parris Island...one of the top five military courses in the nation. Damn awesome.

I second Hilton Head National. Moss Creek isn't bad, either.

Hilton Head National is pretty nice. Not on the island though as someone else said

I have played Crescent Point, Pinecrest and Rose Hill. I typically play Rose Hill with my brother when we all go down for family vacation. I am terrible at golf, so I spend most of my time drinking beer and hunting golf balls, so these courses suit me just fine. Do not shank it on #10 at Rose Hill because people seem to get angry when they hit your ball with their windshield in the middle of the main highway into Hilton Head.

I want to say Pinecrest was 50-60 for green fees, Rose Hill was 30-40 and Crescent Point was 85, but it is in September when we go either the week of or week after Labor Day.

I've played Old South while visiting up there.. Really fun course and some very cool holes on the water.. Not on Hilton Head Island but it is right there.

Can't remember what I paid but it was not a lot, especially for the quality of the course.

Most of the course that aren't going to break the bank are in Bluffton.
