Are they still using the old -3 bats or did they move to the bbcor like NCAA?

I can't imagine too many homeruns hit in highschool at all then. I mean they were kind of at a premium with the -3 bats highly doubt many kids are getting ahold of a lot of balls with BBCOR

Aren't BBCOR bats -3?

Idk maybe. I also don't know what else to call the old bats.

Thought most people could understand what I was asking though

Technically, yes. Anyone that follows baseball knows when you say -3 you're talking about the old BESR core bats.

BESR Core, but fewer people would know what you're talking about.

We called them composite bats (titanium, etc.)

Even fewer people would know what that is

Calling them BESR Core, like I did, is incorrect, but it's what some people know them as. Saying the old -3's is what most people call them.

That's what we called them also. Both my son's played travel ball and out here they were the last to go to bbcor. Man some pissed off people when they bought 400.00 bats only to discover that everyone was going to BBCOR.

I've seen 1 HR this year in 11-12 games. They're not even using the lower seam balls.

I had friends that played in high school the year after they made the switch. They said it was incredible. They went from having decent homerun power to barely even being able to get it out.
