Greetings, Gents.. Paige,

Yes I've exhausted google and youtube for this info.

Let's say that I have column A that list movie titles, column b list the genre, C lists the budget, D lists the gross sales, and E lists the dollars earned per budget dollar(Ratio 1 Column). I.E.:

ET Family Adventure $10.5M $435M 41.42

However, I have 50 movie titles that descend according to ratio. How can I select the genre column and ratio column to create a bar graph without the bar graph replicating a genre that has already been used?

Is this even doable?

TIA

Do a sumifs at bottom, summarizing by genre and use that as your data set for the graph.

Or use a pivot table and pull in genre but not movie as row, and ratio as metric

Assuming I read your question correctly

sumif is solid too.

I just prefer pivot tables because you can do whatever you want with it.

Yeah I've used pivot tables for years but have recently learned that sumifs is sometimes better once you've learned vba. At least in my job

I find the sumif results easier to work with in graphs.

The sumifs for each genre should be easy to set up.
