Happened to my parents. My sister is now 19. I was 18 when she was born. She is their life...way more than I was. On a positive note, it made them hang out with younger people, and they look and act younger than their old friends do now.

I'm not a parent, but I imagine it's like graduating high school then learning you have to go back to freshman year and start all over again.

I know a woman who purposely did that to her husband. He was on his way out and she conveniently got pregnant. Now he's locked in for 18 more years (14 years now).

I guess. Wife and I are both 42, so at least we know we still can reproduce. I have a consult in two weeks to get neutered, though. Enough is enough.

I was 12-13. No siblings between myself and little brother. He's about to graduate high school and it's like my dad is rediscovering the meaning of life

I would NEVER do this. We were graduating HS/pre k the same year!

ETA: due to my age and the nature of the circumstances surrounding our mom, I've always been his surrogate mother. It's basically a forgone conclusion that he's my responsibility once he graduates HS.
