have you heard about the all women Uber/Lyft concept (men not allowed to use)

In the guise of safety men will be banned from using the service. But how can women decry sexism and yet want to exclude men from working a certain job or using a certain product. One could say that since you are more likely to be attacked by a man limiting them from coming in contact with women increases safety. Yet let's say a certain race is more responsible for crime than other races, what would we call it if we limited that race's use of a job or service due to perceived security? it would be racism. Yet it's fine to come out with a for women by women taxi service? You can't fight to get equal everything, fight to open the military to all and then require a separate service for protection. Either you are equal or you are not, and this screams "we are not equal".

Can't you see the drivers name and picture? Can't the driver see the users name and picture? Sounds like this service is already available if you want it.

They would still need city/state licensing, and I think that requires non-discriminatory practices, or does it not?

You get the driver who accepts your request -- there is no "choosing" of your driver.

I'm sure people do disagree with it, hell even the city it's coming from (Boston) there is tons to say it is probably illegal.
You can understand this? How about limiting blacks from certain places, seems like most cab drivers who are robbed in NOLA are robbed by black people. Would it be okay to not allow black people to use an Uber or a cab.
