Have you ever seen a "ghost" or "apparition"?

I don't think I have. Had a strange experience one day when I was 12 or so, I was playing basketball outside and our driveway was about a half mile long, concrete, no trees along it ect, could see down to the end of it really well.

One of my friends asked who is that? Pointing down the driveway. I looked there was a woman in what looked like a purple dress walking towards the house. She was about halfway down the driveway. I continued playing basketball and a minute or so later I looked back down the driveway and she wasn't there. It freaked us all out because it was like she just vanished into thin air.

Also, my mom pulled into the garage one day and was unloading groceries. She happened to look behind her and there was a man in a black suit walking out of the woods towards her. She turned around and got a couple of bags out of the trunk and turned back around, thinking he would be getting close to her and he was gone, like he had vanished into thin air.

There was a big cemetery maybe 200 yards from our house which makes these things extra weird.

The biggest question I have about both of these incidents is who just sees a random person coming toward them and then casually resumes what they are doing? You keep playing basketball and your Mom just shrugs her shoulders and continues unloading groceries? I would be locked in until I could tell what the hell was going down.

Yeah. We lived in rural small town Alabama though, not like it was inner city Detroit lol.

The man being in a suit probably made her less scared, she said he was dressed really nice. If he would've had a huge gold chain on and sagging pants she probably would've ran in the house.

No,

But to be clear, ghosts are not real, and if you have seen one you're a liar.

What I got from your post is that your family is fricking retarded. From your mom on down to you.

Your mom sees a strange man emerge from the woods and walk towards her and her thought is, let me turn my back and whatever happens happens?

You're playing basketball, you see a strange woman coming down the driveway, and you just keep playing paying her no mind?

How do you survive the world on a daily basis?

I'm not so sure about that, I have seen a lot of photos with physical manifestations of what look like spirits in them.

Now if these can be seen with the human eye, I'm not sure.

Why do people always claim to see ghosts dressed in present day clothes or at least the last couple centuries? No one ever reports cave man ghosts.

I wasn't scared at all, why would I be scared of a woman walking down my driveway? There were like 5, 12 - 15 year old boys outside playing basketball, we could've taken her I think.

There isn't much that scares my mom, and we lived in an area zero violent crimes aside from the occasional domestic squabble. If you grew up there you would understand.

Sorry you grew up in Compton.

On a different note, my mom has a ton of weird stories like this.
She writes genealogy books and researches revolutionary war and civil war soldiers. She has had men in military uniforms tell her their names in dreams and has woken up and searched the name and it been a dead soldier from the 1800s that she hadn't previously known about. This is one of many such stories that she has told me that blows my mind.

I told my old roommate "the ghost" ate all the chips and dip and drank more than its share of the beer. Not sure he bought it though

Sometimes I sit on my hand to cut off the blood supply, then let it do work on my penis. I call it "the ghost's magic touch"

I see ghosts or spirits pretty regularly. It's never happens in a sort that I can whip my phone out and record. Mostly it's a "someone just walked past the door to the room" or "someone just walked down that hallway", type thing where it happens really fast and then they're gone. I also see the spirits of family members before they die, especially if we're close. Sometimes it'll be in a dream, or sometimes it'll be in a "spirit". its never really clear who it is however. Like I can't say that "Martha, I just saw your spirit, you're gonna die in a week". It's more of a "spirit just approached me, someone close is going to pass away and a week or so later, sometimes even sooner, someone dies out the blue." The difference between these and the other spirits I see is these are always running or moving towards me really quickly and usually scare the shite out of me where as other spirits are more of a repeating spirit, for example, like they don't know that I'm there and are just going about their daily routine.
