No but I waited for about 10 minutes last week for over 100 ducks and geese with tons of babies to cross the road by Nurses house the other morning.

Never helped them across, but I've talked several out of going. It feels good every time.

Yes, last year in my neighborhood.

I'm trying to make up for my bad turtle karma I earned years ago while at LSU. Heading down Highway 71 out of Bunkie in a low-riding old Honda Civic, I came to a HUGE turtle (15-18 inches long) while driving 65+ mph. Because I'd had a bad accident on that road the prior year, I didn't swerve, hoping my car undercarriage would clear him-- but it didn't. I checked my rearview to see him flying up in the air in one big chunk and lots of little chunks. A tear or two was shed.

Started taking I-49 exclusively after that, my conscience couldn't take more road kill.

I have! In fact, after I finished with the turtle, I went over and kicked the chicken across

I kid you not, i found a stray turtle on a golf course that somehow made it about a half mile away from the lake on the course. I approached the turtle and he was stuck on a rock and his legs couldn't reach the ground. He had made a hole in the dirt about a half dollar diameter and about 3 inches deep( i assumed he was trying to piss super hard to help in become unstuck otherwise there wouldn't be such a dramatic indention from the urine)

Anyways.... i pick him up and put him on the floor of my cart and proceed to drive him to the lake. As soon as i touched him he tucked into his shell and just chilled.... i was about 50 yards to the lake and had to cross a bridge and as soon as i reached the bridge i must have startled the little guy because he launched out and started scurrying and ran right up under my break pedal. i ended up coming to a safe stop and releasing the turtle back into his lake.

im still waiting for the good karma to catch up with me on the hole i saved him on.

No, but I've helped a chicken. Although, I'm not sure why he had to cross the road.

No but did retrieve a huge one out of my parents pool when I was stopping by their house a few weekends ago. I threw it as far and high as I could into the lake behind their house. Solid splashdown

One of my most horrific memories as a child was when my aunt accidentally ran over a box turtle and we stopped and got out to check on it and it was a pregnant box turtle and her little box turtle eggs were everywhere and me and my cousin were crying because we wanted to save the baby turtles. Thanks for the memories Tensas Parish.

I actually "helped" an alligator across the road a few years ago. I didn't know what was lying in the road, but as I approached I could tell it was an alligator. Traffic was minimal, so I got out to check him out. As I approached he began to waddle off into the bayou on the other side of the road.

Every so often I see a dead one on the road and wonder what that collision must have been like...

Occasionally. Had an old uncle that was an avid trotliner. Ran over every one he saw. Said that one wouldn't steal his bait again,

I've made a reasonable effort to not hit them, so yes.
