Must grind your gears that a black guy tells you what to do

Yes. In all my life, I've only had one boss like this, so I'm pretty sure the guy just had some kind of a problem with me.
He made me so miserable I wanted to leave, but then he got fired for something unrelated...

Long story short
You always say this before writing 1000 words

No really. The color of his skin shouldn't even be a topic. But the fact that he makes it one is what pisses me off. It's the equivalent of someone saying "U mad!" When you actually aren't. They say it while pointing and laughing and eventually you do get pissed

I have a hard time with this

Furious, quite often, but miserable, probably not. When I think of a coworker or superior who makes me miserable, I think of someone who constantly treats me unfairly and keeps me submissive.

My battalion commander when I was in the second year of company command. A narcissistic a-hole who was never satisfied. Was making my final months misearable
But after about six weeks I realized my PCS date was less than a week shy of three months of his assuming command - which for the uninitiated means no performance evaluation.
Flaming a-hole with zero people skills.. I'll never forget the dread in my replacement's eyes.
Colonel (then LTC) James Hickey.
Google the cocksucker - he's slightly famous.

Yes, I worked with an angry black woman. She was/is the worst.

My last boss was a sociopath. I fought back through the institution and won. Everyday was a battle, though. In the end, I moved up and out, and he got a reprimand. I wish it would have been worse for him -- but revenge will zap your energy.
My advice: Don't try to get even. Just try to win. Whatever that means. Losing is death and revenge is foolish.

My soon-to-be former boss is a narcissistic, disingenuous, abusive bitch who cares only about her own image and success.
I can't wait to be rid of her for the rest of my life.

On week 2 of 2 week notice but transferring
Boss out achieved reaching highest level of incompetetence and really could not tell me how to do my job, but wanted that respect bc he grinded out 27 years there. It made him a micromanager on the little shite he understood and vague on the important shite I need a little direction on.
He guards information that we need to do job as little to test to see if we find it and/or to still be or appear useful. Also tracks our ins and outs even though we are professional staff.
When it comes time to talk to executive he talks about work something he doesn't understand and it is an awkward do I embarrass him in public with correction or let him ramble on.
I wouldn't have minded carrying him, but he is mean too. Has that old school mentality you don't work hard if comfortable. That's effective for your low performers, but high performers don't like and anytime we got anyone good that could help us improve they rolled out.
Feels good to be getting out. Sorry for buddies locked in the fight. As bad boss looks down and micromanage they inch closer to outsourcing all along.

In my very first job I was 16 and I had a huge crush on my supervisor(almost 10 years older than me). She would flirt with me; hugs, play fight, tease etc. One day I tried to give her a hug and she went "eww" and turned away from me. It crushed me and for the rest of the summer working there I went super hard wearing cologne and eating peppermint every day and would act awkward any time she was around. I now realize her saying ewww had nothing to do with my hygiene but was just and extension of the flirting and teasing

First job out of school. My direct superior basically sits in our job trailer everyday, calls me out on the project when I need to take care of something for him.
The only thing he does is update a schedule and write a daily report. Both of which are compiled by me and then emailed to him, which he then just puts into our work files.
You poor child. You’re fresh out of college and have to perform tasks provided by your superior? God forbid you learn a thing or two while following his direction.

Do we work for the same guy? Mine has an inordinate focus on administrivia, the big picture is a complete flyby. Quick with criticism, while praise for accomplishments is completely missing. Manages the company's money tighter than if it was his own. Completely micromanges experienced subordinates, most of whom have more experience and way more knowledge than he does. Promoted well beyond where his skills should have landed him. Plays favorites based on Lord knows what. Just out and out demoralizing to work for, and I dread any and every interaction I have to have with him. Ironically, although he's already over his head, I mentally pray every day that he will get a promotion. To another group. He should not be in a role that involves managing people.

In college I worked at a restaurant and the manager was this older man that would get up in everyone's face and yell and curse them out and threaten their jobs so he could get his way. Made shite terrible for me, I didn't want to deal with that.
But frick that guy, he wanted to see a scared look or upset people, so when he would do it to me I'd give him the biggest shite eating grin you've ever seen, and say "yes sir" or "OK boss". He'd just explode in fumes and stomp off more mad than he started and try to take it out on someone else

You choose to feel miserable, nobody can "make" you feel that way unless you allow it

I've worked for/with some sadistic assholes in my time. I had one district manager, I swear his children had hooves. The man was the devil.
I also had a co-worker who was convinced that we were all racists. So she would keep notes on what every white person in the office did, and would email HR constantly. It was very odd.

Currently my boss is making my life miserable. I have been with my company for 11 yrs. Never had a problem with anyone, never reprimanded, written up, etc. Bitch has been here all for one year, and i've been written up and told next time I will be fired. For minor miscues.
