Nope.

But I can tell you that most places like that use a prescreener method to eliminate resumes that don't meet the criteria.

Make sure your resume features keywords found in the job description posted to get past the screener.

Before graduating I used indeed. More time than not it took me directly to the companies main employment page where I think filled out information.

I got three job offers doing it this way.

I also recommend using LinkedIn. A lot of head hunters use that.

I would clean up any social media you have too. They DEFINITELY check that lol.

(My industry is Telecom, but also received offers from Semi-Conductor and Power)

I've gotten several interviews from Indeed and careers2geaux.

IMO you should tailor your resume for the job posting as needed if the positions you apply for have varying descriptions and qualifications. That's about the only thing I did. I have a resume that I use for office/management type positions and a different one for field type positions.

Yeah, got the job I just started this week through indeed. I applied at 10-15 places over a couple of months, got 2 interviews and 1 offer.

Job boards like that tend to bring in a ton of resumes that recruiters have to sort through, so make sure your resume is customized to the job description/requirements before you apply. Use the same terminology/phrasing. A lot of times before a human looks at your application, your resume will pass through screening software to scan for certain key words. EDIT: beat me to it

So you've had positive experiences with this? I just created one about a month ago and haven't been on it much- still been using Indeed.

OP- I have gotten a few interviews through Indeed. And as DownshiftAndFloorIt said, you should tailor your resume for the job you're applying for. I also have a cover letter template and I will edit each depending on what I'm applying for.

Indeed pulls from postings on other sites, directly from the companies. I never deliberately post ads on Indeed, but probably 75% of applicants indicate it's where they found the posting.

Best way to stand out is to tailor your cover letter to the position, explaining how your experience is relevant to the position. People who submit very generic letters (or none at all) where it isn't obvious how their experience fits the position don't tend to be considered.

Also, when you search Indeed, do it by most recent. They tend to filter ads based on who is paying, so a lot of the ads at the top are very old & have a million applicants.

It's b/c "Baddest Pimp Playa Hustla of New Orleans" on the
Title doesn't sit well with most employers.

I got my current job from careers2geaux. I had far fewer responses and thus interviews from it than indeed or just direct postings on company sites, but it got me in contact with my currrent employer so definitely a positive experience.

As dumb as it seems, you just gotta play buzzword bingo with your resume to get past the electronic resume screening. It's about the only negative thing about online applications.

I worked in recruiting and never read cover letters. How can you read cover letters when you're recruiting 15+ positions and sorting through 100's of resumes? I'd go right for the resume to see what their experience was.

I'm a (so called) professional and over a 15 year period I've been hired three times through either LinkedIn, Monster or CareerBuilder.

Hoping to never go through it again but it's not bad, the LinkedIn job search function is the most popular in my field.

Lie slightly on your resume to make yourself look good. I used to say I performed a task daily that I did maybe 4-5 times ever.
