I'm honestly tired of them. They make my life miserable. I think I'd be better off moving a few thousand miles away and changing my name so I don't have to deal with them anymore.

We did this a while back.

Now every day is casual Friday.

Already have a small family, and the family I have are being assholes about the living situation of their mother which is in the process of losing her marbles, so once she is found a permanent place to stay, we'll be done with the entire lot of them I'm sure

Cut my mom off. She's a leach off the government and tried to leach off me. She tried to break me and my wife up. Haven't talked to her in several years and our lives are the better for it.

Yes.
Best decision I've ever made.

I don't need family. I'm happy all by myself.

Man this thread is so sad. I feel for y'all with dysfunctional families. My family is very large and there is nothing I treasure more.

Well, they prolly aren't a bunch of selfish assholes who ask you to move an entire house full of furniture one year. Then, when you ask for help moving are nowhere to be found.

That's just an example. I'm not going into details, but life is too short to be miserable around a bunch of selfish a-hole Italian frickoffs.

Your "family" is made up of whoever you want it to be.

You're right. I wish I had figured this out a few years ago.

Do you ever feel any guilt?

I go to the grandparents' house every year. As soon as get there, I have to shake hands with all the smokers out on the front porch. After that, I get introduced to the current men my whore aunts are sleeping with during that 6 month cycle. It's a very classy occasion.

No, I've never cut off any family member. We are all reasonable, intelligent people. We've had our disagreements but always work them out amicably. We love and support one another. The holidays are a great time to catch up.
