Has anyone done any of the escape rooms here? I am thinking about taking my employees on a night out and doing one of the escape rooms and was wondering what you guys thought of them. TIA

Never that escape room, but i keep wanting to go. I Have done the escape room on Loyola in the postal building. It's on an empty floor, you have to get buzzed in by security and are told you can only go to the designated floor or you will be arrested. and you get to this floor and it's like a horror movie. Offices empty lights hanging and flickering. You are told to go to the door next to a chair in the hallway. When you enter it's like a waiting room for the recently deceased, such an odd little spot. The clues are challenging and you had to work together quickly to keep progressing.

We made it with less than a minute to spare, it was a lot of fun. I keep wanting to try a different one. (since you can't really ever do the same room twice)

I think I looked at that one before. IIRC, the max party size wasn't enough. I need one that will let us have at least 12 people.

I've done all the 13th gate escape rooms. I was impressed each time. You can tell a ton of effort went into those. We booked the 2nd one the same night we did the first. That's how much fun it was

I would do

Death Row,
Collector,
Then the Tomb

In that order. The Tomb is exceptionally tough.

Did you go in a group of 4+? Or were you paired with randoms?

Are these escape rooms at 13th gate appropriate for a teen birthday party ?

Yes, they have a couple that are more appropriate for younger kids.

I find that Mystere Mansion rivals 13th Gate in set design and overall aesthetics.

The "Serial Killer" room which is Saw themed, has so much amazing detail. Highly recommended.

My wife is concerned that the escape rooms at 13th Gate will be too frightening. She absolutely HATES being scared shitless (refuses to go to haunted houses).

Should we expect the escape rooms to have a similar frightening aspect?
