true, but there is no dust bowl (California excluded) and no Yellow Fever or prohibition, and no disco. So things have been worse. OTOH, it isn't as cool as the 50s, the music isn't near as good as the 60-80s and we can't take advantage of free love movement. good times and bad, you see?

My 75 year old aunt velma puts on her moo moo at 4:00 every afternoon and has no life. She sits around complaining all day about how bad the country is. She loves bitching about brown people, the gays, liberals, the cheating old men at the bingo parlor, the internet, nightly news, how expensive her depends are, how fast people drive, etc.
This is a great time to be alive and living the good life.

I will never understand why lgbt stuff gets conservative Christians so worked up.
I would think drugs, alcohol, gambling, prostitution, single moms, Etc would be bigger issues because the majority of the population is actually affected by these things in their real lives. That stuff never garners the same outrage, at least not on td.com.

Being classically handsome, and a fabulous dancer, I'd have been better off in the 20's/30's.
I'd need to have been born into a steel manufacturing family, in the northeast, around 1912. Too young for WWI, too old for WWII.
