Cheers to the greatest General this country has ever produced. You were brilliant, humble and compassionate in victory and honorable in defeat.

He was not the greatest general, he made several huge blunders, but great no doubt.

Who was better and under such trying circumstances? Of course he made mistakes. He was coaching Eastern Michigan against Alabama and took the game deep into the 4th quarter with the lead. With any other general, the South would've been crushed in 6 months.

Fun fact: If Robert E. Lee was still alive today, he would be 209 years old, making him the oldest person in the world.
