So finally my beard/sideburns is starting to fill in...so that means a lot more shaving on the downside.
Right now I use the Philips Norelco Shaver 8100 because I don't have time for the razors, and it looked like a better solution for stopping hair bumps.

How do you guys cope?

Facial scrub cream helps to fight ingrown hair. You can find the little tubes in the Health beauty section .

I use the facial scrub twice a week & its done a great job

Does not compute. Grown arse men working 14 hour days with a wife and kids find a way to do it, you can too.

ETA clean your shaver with alcohol

F that...why pay so much for replacment cartridges? Get a DE Safety razor - and great blads can be found in packs of 100 for around $10. Even if you use one blade a week, you are still getting almost two years of shaving before buying new blades. That is, unless you are an OT roller...

I really want to try shaving that way, but I'm just too scared. I have pretty sensitive skin on my face, same problems as the OP. ingrown hairs and burn. Not so much bumps.
