As a public service reminder tip to the armed robber just because a business uses the word "King" in its name does not mean the business carries jewels or other high dollar value items. The Burger King crown and medallion are not real Gold.

Lastly and more importantly customers who are wearing the Burger King crown while eating are not royalty and don't have access to the safe.

Hanhville High School was locked down Wednesday morning (Aug. 2), with no one allowed to leave or enter the campus, following an armed robbery and shooting at the Burger King near the Boutte school's campus, St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said.

A customer was shot and robbed at the restaurant, which is down the street from the school. Authorities are searching for the suspect, who fled on foot.

According to a post on Champagne' Facebook page, "an employee of an ATM provider" was ordering food at the Burger King drive-through window when he was held up. The suspect, a male wearing a hoodie, left on foot.

Yup I did miss this part which is critical to the overall story so the armed robber was smarter than I initially gave him credit for. He wasn't targeting the King of Burger King instead an ATM truck.

Burger King should be thankful that their business name isn't Burger Kang, because this type of crime would happen on the daily.

Fo' real.

So thankful that Burger King was not there in the late 80's when I graduated from HHS.

I'd have had to stop there every morning for some shitty breakfast, instead of the Time Saver in Mimosa for a Lemon Hubig Pie and a whole milk.
