I don't get what the big deal is. People act like NATO countries haven't been bombing strategic targets for over a year. ISIS isn't going down tomorrow just because Ivan showed up.

They're not even attacking ISIS, they're going after rebel groups that are a threat to Assad.

They're attacking ISIS...

My understanding is the USA strategy was to attempt to funnel ISIS towards Assad, not wipe them out. Anyone can see why that has advantages for us.

Now Russia is involved and they're shooting anything that's not Assad.

It's an interesting turn of events.

I think we've done a pretty good job of keeping all those dudes occupied with killing each other with minimal loss of life for us.

I don't know that we want it to end, just let them continue this perpetual bloodshed.

They haven't even had time to mess with Israel lately.

All we have to do is referee and keep all sides fairly evenly matched.

By the time Hadji adjusts Russia will be out of money, ammo or maintenance parts and headed home.

How many Americans will face prison for bombing that hospital?

Do you consider them on par with the US in terms of defense technology?

uh, wrong, but typical of Americans not having a clue about shite in the ME. The US supports the rebels who are fighting Assad, who the Rooskies are now attacking. ISIS is also fighting Assad and our Rebels. It's a cluster over there. Best to just stay out of it.

Newsflash. Russia isn't fighting ISIS. They are hitting Syrian rebels.

I wonder if the non-ISIS rebels will be equipped with this soon...
