I'm looking to get gutters replaced on my home, and I received an estimate that I think is outrageous, but I'm not expert. The house is a 2 story house, and gutters will be on both levels. The back of the house will only have gutters at the very top, but the front of the house will have them on both levels.

There is a total of 152 linear feet of gutters, and 135 linear feet of downspouts. The estimate was for aluminum gutters (6" wide). Any idea on what a reasonable cost would be? Thanks!

Had a similar set up done on my house this time last year and my bill was like $1050. This was for 6" seamless gutters 140 linear feet and 75 feet of down spouts. I am only a single story home but my boss had his done by the same guy and is two stories and his was around 1300 which included the gutter guards.

I would expect something like this, even up to $1,800. These bastards quoted over $4,000!

Needless to say I have a few more estimates coming.

Yea man they are raping you at $4,000. I just had a 3 ton AC (outside and air handler) unit and all new copper piping replaced last week and it was on a little over $4,000.

We got 6" gutters, with 205' of linear feet of gutters, but dont recall the downspouts but probably similar, this includes the garage which was the only part of the gutters installed on the first level. All other gutters installed at 2 story height. It was $2100 and that was back in 2015 in Houstson.

Just got 2 other estimates. One came back at $1950 and the other came back at $1650. The lower priced one was for a local company that only does gutters. These estimates were what I was expecting.

Nope. The responses confirmed what I thought and I had a couple other companies come out and give me estimates.

ETA - shite, just realized it was motorboat that commmented. I should have known better than to respond to that fool.

Not sure where you're located, but in Dallas they're running $7.42 a linear foot installed. Seems like the other two bids you got are reasonable.
