.

How would this area be for a single male in early 30s?

Its MSA size seems pretty comparable to that of Baton Rouge

Greenville is nice. Great downtown.

Spartanburg is awful. Everything Greenville is not. Stay away.

Greenville is awesome. I'd happily live there if given the chance. Very affordable and great if you like the outdoors.

Not good for a single male. No college in the area (Bob Jones doesn't count), few big companies stocking female talent. Good luck. I lived there from from ages 25-27.

Lot of great outdoors stuff close. Atlanta & Charlotte are easy driving distance. Clemson is close. A great place to raise a family, just import a broad.

He is in his early 30's. Plus isn't Furman in Greeneville.

Greenville has an awesome downtown area, great city.

My wife is Spartanburg. She hates it. I hate it. It's a shitty place.

If I we're you, I'd get on Match, esp. if you're new to the area. I've noticed some talent in SC and it's not that big of a state to get around (IMO).

You wouldn't consider Clemson to be in the area?

Starting to not be the case anymore with its popularity, but yea it's still pretty reasonable.

Lived there for about 10 years. Nicest town I have ever lived in. Downtown is vibrant, doesn't roll up at 5.

Clean lakes 45 minutes away, the mountains about an hour. You can even make it to the beach in less than 3.

Nearby suburbs very affordable. Downtown real estate high. Don't even think about Spartanburg.

Not a bad area but sucks if you travel /have to fly often.

Airport is small and flights are limited and often cost 50%—75% more.

Greenville is great. My wife is from there. It's also 30 mins from Asheville which is nice. Spartanburg is a dump.
