Green egg pricing questions

Okay so I'm trying to sell a used green egg but cannot determine what I should set the price at. It's a large green egg with stand and cooking shelves. The whole thing originally would cost around $1050 but it is used and a couple years old. What do the members of the OT think would be a fair price?

Does it have the internal accessories as well?
I would think at least $500 used, maybe more.

It has a couple of the ceramic cylinders but that's about it

I noticed the market bottomed out quick on these when all the knockoffs came out at half the price and less. Going to be a hard item to move. Especially used. good luck

you will sell it quickly for 500 bucks. (at least here) you can probably get 700 or so if you are patient. I would list it right after Christmas so the people that wanted one and didn't get it see yours.

Yeah have it listed on Craig's list for 750 but don't think I'm going to have much luck over there. Gonna try my hand at the food and drink board at a reduced price. Thanks for the responses

I was just looking to compare and saw that.
You're missing the heat deflector that turns it into a smoker, but those are less than $100 locally.
Good chance you'll get $500 for it. If I didn't have one (exactly like yours) I'd pay that.

has the gasket been replaced? Why are you selling it?
Posted on 12/16/15 at 1:13 pm to deathvalleyfreak43
I'd go $700-800..........
Why are you selling it. One can never have too many BGE's (or similar)

Nothing has been replaced on it and it's in pretty good condition. Definitely had its fair share of cook outs but nothing terrible. I'm getting rid of it because I'm moving and frankly don't have the time to cook as much as I used to

I'll give you 200 cash and call it a day

Depends
Can I eat them in a box?
Can I eat them with a fox?
Can I eat them on a train?
Can I eat them in the rain?

I'm sticking with $700-800......you should be able to get that easy.
If you need to move it quick.....$650

That's what I was thinking too

Someone in the food board would probably take it off your hands.

go on searchtempest.com and search craigslist ads within the mileage range you select. i saw at least one, with a table for $550 within 250 miles

My rule of thumb.
The value of anything used in good working condition is worth about 50% of the original cost.
If it's brand new with little wear, maybe more. But before I pay 70% or 80% of the cost of something new, I'm getting the new one.
