I also lost 3 pairs of sunglasses in the break-in. My deductible was high, almost the value of the GPS and the sunglasses, so that's a losing situation right there, plus, they would only pay for an entry-level GPS unit, and mine was really nice.
can you show me stats? why would you be any more likely to be robbed by someone who stole your sat-nav? That makes no sense, your house is just another house like anyone else's on the street I'd assume.
I mean, I don't have any stats, but it's pretty easy. Somebody breaks into your car while you're at the mall, jacks your GPS - they know you're not home, so they go straight to your house. It's always better to not put your home address on your GPS. LINK
