Want something cheaper. Neck issues so it needs to be thin but supportive.

I was always a tempur loyalist
Recently switched to a Brookstone one and it's been my main pillow for about 6 mos.

What type are you using?
I've used tempurpedic for years. I've had my symphony for years (8-10), use it every night, wash the zippered shell every few weeks, always use a pillow case... it is showing no signs of giving up anytime soon.
I tried to switch to one of the cloud pillows. It was way too thick for me. Wrapped it in a towel and sat on it for a couple of weeks at my computer desk to try to flatten it a bit; still too thick. It's construction of shredded foam leads me to believe that it may not last as long as the symphony which is a solid piece of foam.

LINK Not sure how good this pillow is, but was at Costco and saw quite a few people buying it.

I've had the MyPillow for over a year and it was like a night and day difference in how much improved sleep I was getting. Very comfortable.

considering your lifestyle, i'd recommend something with a minty flavor.

Not sure what this insinuates or how to respond.

I've been using the ones they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond, really like them. Better than any of the other pillows w received from our wedding

Latex foam rubber is the way to go. My Pillow is made of chopped or shredded latex and adjusts to your contour while providing support. There is not a better pillow on earth.

Just got the Columbia pillow that's supposed to help you stay cool. It ain't lying. I routinely head sweat every night. Haven't sweated a single night since having this pillow for three weeks.
