I'm gonna assume she is unattractive as sh*t, and trying to fill some hole in her life?

I can't do that in an apt. I enjoy cutting up shite with a chain saw and splitting it myself.

It does seem like a lot of work, when you are just gonna take it all down in a few weeks.

One of my coworkers put up her tree...the day after Halloween. That is just craziness imo.

The ornaments I have from previous trees are super cheap ones I got from Ikea that I don't like anymore. So if I do get a tree....I would have to buy EVERYTHING for it. So not sure I want to spend the money on all that.

Maybe I'll buy all that stuff on sale after Christmas and just do it next year

When you have kids, I recommend going every year to Halmark or whatever the name is and let the kids pick out an ornament to put on the tree. My parents did this for us for many years and I got every Batman ornament they had

And still have them

Aww, that's cute.

Yeah my mom had kept every cheesy ornament we made as kids in school and would put them up on the tree every year. That was actually one of the things I was really sad about when my parents had that housefire back in 2008....stuff like those ornaments and many of our pics gone forever.

Yeah...trees now will be the pretty ones that have a theme to them. Trees post kid will be all about more sentimental ornaments.

But no icicles(those strips of tinsel you throw on the tree)

Yeah I just don't know if I'm in the mood to spend money on all that. It's really my husband pushing for us to have a tree this year. I just won't mention it again in hopes that he gets lazy about it as well and it becomes a "yeah def next year we should do that" kinda thing

I've never been big on Christmas decorations, just seems like a ton of work and then before you know it...you have to take it all down. I can just go to my mother in law's house to feel Christmassy. Their house always looks like it vomited Christmas stuff over every surface imaginable She seriously decorates every room, with at least 3 trees up throughout the house(even the bathrooms have some sort of Christmas stuff in there)

My sister does this

Oh wow. I have a single box of ornaments and I usually buy new lights every year. This damn wreath will be save too. It's been a huge pain in the arse so far...

I see nothing wrong with it for my mother in law. She loves holidays and decorating. She also was always a stay at home mom as well. Her house always looks nice though. She was driving me crazy yesterday though with her once again not so subtle hints that I should work days.

She just cannot grasp that many nurses work nights by choice. I hear the same "oh you poor thing, you think they will ever let you switch to days?" spill from her at every holiday.
